After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in education, Wanda spent 14 years in flight service with American Airlines before purchasing an Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt franchise with her husband, Scott. During her time of ownership as well as working with the airline she learned the value of excellent customer service. Of all the phases of managing her Orange Leaf business, Wanda’s favorite part was teaching and mentoring the young adults she had the pleasure of hiring. She learned the importance of patience, communication and flexibility. Crediting her passion for teaching and helping others, real estate has turned out to be the perfect fit for Wanda.
Upon obtaining her Real Estate License, Wanda did not waste any time adding some well respected designations to her resume. After many hours of classroom work she obtained her Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE) designation and also completed the Graduate Realtor® Institute (GRI) program. While knowledgeable, Wanda says, “What I don’t know, I’m eager to learn!”
Born in Sealy, Texas, Wanda married her high school sweetheart Scott Abel. Along with their three daughters, Scott and Wanda have called Fairfield home for 28 years and they love being involved in the community. All three of her girls have attended school in CFISD, played sports, volunteered and worked in the community.
Wanda believes that it is important to have faith, character and integrity while also being passionate about family, friends and business. Sharing life, via relationship with Christ and others, is what defines her life. Her family has participated in the foreign exchange program and welcomed two wonderful young ladies into their home. “We loved the experience of learning about another country and sharing our love of Cypress and Texas with our students, who we now consider our daughters.”
